Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh paddlers Staged a fine show, winning four bronze medals at the 76th Sub-Junior National Table Tennis Championships held at Rajahmundri in Andhra Pradesh. Young Sarthak Seth went down fighting to Mananav Thakkar of PSPB-A in the sub Junior boys singles semi-finals 1-3(6-11, 4-11, 11-8, 4-11)
Satyam Giri Gupta also posed a though challenge to Alberto Lrruta (PSPB-A) in the cadet Singles Semi- Finals, losing by 2-3(9-11, 11-7, 2-11, 11-3, 11-13)
UP had their third Bronze in the sub-junior girls doubles category when the duo of Suhana Narginari and Saundarya Pathak lost to the Tamil nadu Pair of Yashni and Saleena Depti 0-3. Sarthak Seth and Hardik Paliwal in the Sub-Junior boys Doubles annexed the fouth bronze medal.
UP Table Tennis Association's Secretary Arun Kumar Banerjee on Sunday announced Rs 30000 each for singles bronze medalist, whereas doubles bronze medalists would be richer by Rs 15000 each.
